These pants bring back an iconic fabric from our 1980s archives, in the same roomy cut as our iconic Tin Cloth Pants. The Safari Cloth fabric is a midweight cotton canvas with an exceptionally tight weave, once used for jackets on safaris for protection against aggressive insects. The material withstands abrasion and is nearly impervious to wind.
These pants fit quite relaxed through the seat and thighs, with plenty of room to squat, scramble, or climb. The buttons for the waistband and attaching suspenders are made from durable melamine, a composite originally developed to meet the durability requirements of naval use. Seven beltloops prevent waistband snagging. Zippered fly.
