Cavalry Wool Field Jacket

Our classic field jacket has been an outdoors staple for two decades. This variation is made with a dense wool blend that shrugs off weather and wear. Cavalry twill gets its name from the durable riding pants worn by historic military troops on horseback.

Crafted in Italy with an extremely tight weave, our Cavalry Wool fabric is hard-wearing and wind-resistant. The alternating pattern of the weave results in strong diagonal lines in the fabric and allows it to drape naturally. Nylon is blended into the yarns for added abrasion resistance.

The front of our classic field jacket features two large, expandable cargo pockets with snapped flaps. The hand pockets are lined with our warm signature Alaskan Guide flannel. They’re set high for use when seated or the cargo pockets are full. Across the back is a reach-through zippered pocket that’s lined with nylon to protect the wool fabric. The hem and waist are adjustable with drawcords, and the cuffs with snapped tabs. Interior zipper for optional Filson liners. Interior zippered security pocket.
