Do not wash or dry clean – brush or wipe clean with a damp rag. Rewax as needed to maintain maximum water resistance. To prevent the transfer of oils, we recommend avoiding prolonged contact between Filson oil finish goods and light-colored fabrics, especially in warm weather.A wool sweater with water-resistant reinforcement on the yoke and arms.
Our Henley Guide Sweater features a cape over the shoulders and arms made from our signature waxed Shelter Cloth. This water-resistant layer provides an added level of protection in wet weather. The sweater is made from 100% merino wool with tightly spun yarns for a firm surface that minimizes pilling and snags. The wool is sourced from U.S. sheep prized for their long, fine fleece. Our merino wool excels at wicking moisture to its tips for evaporation and can absorb up to 30% of its weight in water without feeling damp or clammy. This natural capillary action enables wool to insulate when wet and why it has been the fabric of choice in the outdoors for centuries. Rib-knit collar, cuffs, and hem.
